Ok, I still need to upload my birthday posts from this year
as well as from 2015 when I watched the perseids in Crater Lake.
This year it was in Palm Springs, Ca. There's just so many photos
to sort through! Gah. I will get to it when I'm in the mood basically.
Just like everything else I do. Haha.
Well this weekend I hiked Mt Baldy!
This was my second hike up good old Baldy, or Mt San Antonio, whatever you
prefer to call it. For those who don't live in LA, Mount Baldy is the highest
point in Los Angeles, at an elevation of 10,069. The monument reads 10,064,
however, so I guess...
Nothing like coming home from work, and having to go straight back to work.
I hope this little guy makes it. He was pecking at ants during the car ride,
so he obviously wants to live. Ants are huge pests down here in Los Angeles.
He's a fighter, getting taken care of at the sanctuary. I think he'll make it.
This blog is under construction and is missing many old entries.
I will be remodeling, re-uploading old and new blog entries, adding more photos
etc over the next few months, trying to get everything together.

So I felt like camping overnight this weekend at the top of Mt Baden Powell and take
a drive to Wrightwood, an area situated in the San Gabriel Mountains a bit North of Los
Angeles. It's one of my fav weekend escapes. I've hiked this baby about 3x now over the
last few years. 2 summit trips, one pass by. It is a short side trip to the summit for PCT
thru-hikers. A side trip I skipped doing in 2012 as a thru-hiker, cus I live here, & was tired...
but anyway you simply continue a somewhat short distance further up the trail instead of
continuing on the PCT. Just when you think it's...
Had a blast with my Bohemian Sista Jen on her first Los Angeles visit
to see me! (if you don't count our crazy Vegas trip) a few years back.
Which also involved ziplining... down Fremont Street. Haha.
I've known Jen since before pre-school, and we grew up across
the street from one another on Long Island. We've been friends since the
So we took it easy the first few days. I showed her around
some tourist areas (Lucille Balls home - her favorite), and Brady
Bunch House (a quick stop on my work route), as I dragged her to work
with me for a day. Her hotel was down the block...
Nowhere else I'd rather call home.
Took a day job working with dogs right away so I will be posting less often, but
I'll be creating nonstop, and have about 6 months of new items to be posted all at once
around June/July 2016. I am doing it this way for several reasons I don't feel like discussing.
Also trying to line up a few festivals to sell at by end of year however it's looking like I will have
to wait until 2017 due to timing.
The beast tank (28 ft RV) made it on 2 very messed up 13 mile + 20 mile dirt roads
to and from the park. I took it at 5-20mph the whole way, averaging at 5-10mph on the
*in* road and 10-20mph on the 2nd option *out* road that leads to Thoreau. That out road
was -slightly- better for driving, but a lot longer. I asked a park ranger why my entry fee
wasn't paying to pave the unpaved sections of roads and I got a very confused face,
followed by mad face, followed by fake smile and ultimately no verbal response.
I walked away.
Explored 4 of the 6 major sites on the 9 mile...
